The spacious living areas are attractively decorated and fitted throughout with comfortable, high quality furnishings. It has 45 single rooms for residents with low care needs. With Autumdale's easy and intimate floorplan, the peaceful rooms are never far from any of the common areas. Each room comes with a built in wardrobe, high low bed, an over-bed table, bed side table, wall-mounted flat screen television, ceiling fans, in-room controlled heating and a private ensuite. There is ample space for residents to make themselves as comfortable as possible and bring a cherished piece of furniture such as a dressing table or favourite armchair, as well photographs and other memorabilia.
Common Areas Description
BlueCross Autumdale offers residents a country-style dining room, large main lounge, plus a reading and games area. There is also a non-denominational chapel, a smaller sitting room and two residential wings that flank a large, sunny central courtyard with BBQ.
Residents who like to remain physically and mentally active will find an air hockey table, a bookcase brimming with games and absorbing reads and a piano on which to practise favourite tunes and gather around with friends.
For those people who love a good cappuccino, there are two self-serve coffee machines in the dining room. In the courtyard outside, two covered pergolas are the ideal spots to have a coffee with fellow residents, read or enjoy time with family.
