The attached lounge has recliners and visitor's chairs. There is vinyl installed throughout, including in the ensuite. Windows, framed by full-length curtains, provide views of the internal courtyards and professionally landscaped gardens.
Common Areas Description
Each house in Leinster Place has a large, open plan dining and kitchen area, along with a private dining area that can seat six people. The dining areas have lots of natural light with full-length windows providing views to the garden. Centrally locating the kitchen allows the aromas of the meals circulate around the house, adding to the home-like atmosphere. Residents also have access to the kitchen between meal times for tea and coffee-making and snacks. The spacious lounge room in each house has comfortable recliners and lounge chairs with a television, DVD player and sound system. This is complemented by two smaller sun rooms with lots of natural light from the full-length windows providing views to the gardens. There is also a large, shared function area in the facility with audio-visual equipment in which social events are regularly held. A new internet kiosk has recently been installed and is at the disposal of residents. Outside, there is a covered area available to residents in the professionally landscaped gardens. Seasonal vegetable and flower beds are also maintained in a cooperative project involving residents and students of the neighbouring Catholic high school.
