These rooms are part of LHI's Memory Support Unit and offer quality fixtures and fittings which include electronic high/low adjustable bed with pressure relieving mattress, bedside table, built-in wardrobe, lockable storage, and visitor chair. All rooms are equipped with nurse-call points, have telephone connection capability, quality lighting and window dressings. In addition, some of these rooms are equipped with ceiling tracks to assist with the transfer of residents who can no longer mobilise and require full assistance with their mobility needs. Heating and cooling in the room is provided via individually controlled reverse cycle air conditioning, whilst bathrooms have 3-in-1 bathroom ducted heat-light and exhaust fan for ultimate comfort. Some rooms have a direct access to beautiful courtyards/internal gardens. These rooms have been designed to maintain independence and maximise safety and security.
Common Areas Description
Residents living in our facility have access to a range of large communal areas. The facility recently underwent major refurbishment to ensure our facility continues to meet the highest possible standard. Communal spaces include large shared lounge areas and activity rooms where residents can play cards, Bingo and other individual and group activities, or just relax and enjoy their time at LHI. A small library is available where residents can borrow books, while for those having difficulty mobilising we deliver to their rooms via a mobile library trolley.
Our dining and lounge areas were architect designed, to give maximum space and comfort. Between meal times residents are able to access tea-making and refreshment facilities which are also available to families and visitors.
LHI's aged care facilities are co-located with our large retirement villages which include community centres and churches.

These rooms have been designed to maintain and maximise safety and security and allow for the provision of specialised care where cognitive loss and/or mobility loss are severe.
