Palmwoods Hostel is a 70 bed low care facility providing ageing-in-place, meaning that in most cases there would be no need to move to a nursing home. It is located on the Palmwoods Garden Village campus, amongst beautiful garden surroundings. Palmwoods Hostel shares the campus with 107 independent living units and associated amenities. The hostel has been designed with particular emphasis on the Queensland lifestyle with wide open areas and private patios to each room, reflecting our Sunshine Coast lifestyle. Rooms are single ensuited to optimise privacy. Palmwoods Hostel supports the special needs of those suffering the effects of dementia, by making 28 beds available for such Special Care.

Our large but homely air conditioned main dining room is popular for both meals and celebrations,and each area has its own lounge and kitchen to enjoy a cuppa with friends or family, or simply to have a quiet cuppa when you feel like it.The rooms are complimented by an open plan communal area which is used for a variety of activities including sing-a-longs, church, bingo, hoy, as well as arts and crafts. It has a TV and lounge including a kitchenette, television lounge area and a relaxed sitting area with two separate doors opening onto paths to explore our well maintained gardens. Our facility is set among beautiful garden surroundings, our facility has many areas where you can sit and enjoy the gardens and bird life.
