Staff are friendly and helpful. Building not quite suitable for end of life care. Staff attitude and care outweigh any negatives.

The staff are overworked and have to perform a multitude of tasks for the residents, whether they are properly trained or not. Sometimes I understand if they feel overwhelmed and impatient, as they are all working to strict time limits. Overall, though, the care provided is 'caring and considerate'.

My mother was in residential care for her final 7 years at St Joan of Arc Villa in Haberfield .I Could not fault anything !! The respect and love expressed on a daily basis was wonderful . The quiet way that everyday business like cleaning , deliveries, maintenance , took place around the residents activities ran like clockwork . Outings and in house entertainment was fantastic . The beautiful food was cooked in the lovely commercial kitchen and cooked with love . The nursing staff always made sure they kept me up to date with mums needs . The hairdresser was a darling and her doctor who visited was so kind . The best accommodation and care that I could have hoped for . They were gracious and wonderful and open hearted to allow mum to come out of hospital and nursed her until she passed away in her own bed surrounded by people whom she trusted and loved . This was amazing as it is not a nursing home but it is home until the end.Kind regards Karen Rivers
