Aged Care Reviews appoints data analytics guru to Advisory Board

Consumer review website Aged Care Reviews has appointed data analytics guru Dr Ian Tho to its Advisory Board, significantly beefing up its capacity to bring cutting edge 'big data' analytics to aged care.

Aged Care Reviews is Australia's largest consumer review platform for aged care, in home care and retirement, allowing families to research, shortlist and compare every aged care facility in Australia through validated consumer reviews.
Launched in January 2014 the site receives facility data directly from the Australian Government’s ‘My Aged Care’ directory website to ensure every aged care facility in Australia can be reviewed by aged care residents and their families.
Having recently successfully placed a large tranche of its $1.4 million Series A capital raising, the parent entity of Aged Care Reviews, Have A Voice Pty Limited, has diligently appointed a number of sector specialists to key leadership team positions.
About Dr Ian Tho
Dr Ian Tho has over 25 years of experience in strategic customer insights and intelligence. Currently an Executive Director of Azurium, a specialist provider of enterprise improvement and advisory services, Ian was formerly Head of Customer Analytics at Coles Group, and formerly Executive Director (analytics) for a Commonwealth Government regulator monitoring quality in teaching and learning.
At Coles Group, Ian was responsible for the customer analytics function, delivering intelligence to optimise engagement with Coles’ customers nationwide. This included analysis of over 13m customer transactions a week, as well as considering data from FlyBuys, Australia’s largest customer loyalty program. The insights gained were used to reliably predict, to a detailed level, future purchasing patterns and influence buyer behaviour.
Residential aged care is a $11 billion industry in Australia. Consumers are coming to terms with a multitude of regulatory changes designed to free up aged care, unlock supply constraints, and place the consumer in the middle of the aged care journey.
Have A Voice, the parent entity of Aged Care Reviews, is currently developing a number of customer insight platforms that will bring the tools of big data, data analytics, predictive behaviour pattern.
The addition of Dr Ian Tho to the Advisory Board of Have A Voice will further refine the consumer insight tools currently being developed for the aged care industry.
