Our family were so worried and concerned about which aged care facility to choose for our mother and have to say we are so very happy with Arcare Eight Mile Plains, they have exceeded our expectations in every asoect and we are over the moon with the staff and the care mum is receiving there. It is such a relief to have found a place that we are so happy with, thank you to everyone at Arcare Eight Mile Plains, not enough words to say how much we appreciate you all.

My husband required Four weeks of respite whilst I had surgery. One one occasion when my son, daughter in law and grandchildren visited him, the room smelt of urine so badly the children waited outside whilst the windows were opened. Another time he had to put towels lover the floor to mop up water/ urine. However he was fed well whenever he felt like it: , even at 11.30pm when he had slept through the evening meal.
He was not encouraged to attend functions.l

Some staff are very helpful while others don't seem to notice when a person is trying to get help in some way. I feel that the less fuss you make, the less attention you receive. More care needs to be taken with patient's personal belongings. Treasured things ( not expensive ) just disappear.
I feel that my mother has deteriorated in mobility etc since being in care as it is easier to out her in a wheel chair than walk her.
