Staff were very professional and caring. They were very person centred in their approach which was appreciated. Management were also caring and considerate of residents' needs. However there was a significant shortage of staff. My dad was palliative and a falls risk. When calling staff the average wait for assistance was 15-20 minutes, but sometimes longer. This meant that even with bed and mat alarms my dad had many falls.Towards the end he needed 2 support workers which meant that a 30 minute plus wait for toilet assistance etc was not uncommon. Family needed to be with him every day as he could not call for assistance and sometimes family needed to provide care for him in place of available staff. Though we were told that they provided palliative care we found that appropriate palliative care was lacking. He suffered greatly because of this. Support staff were not aware that he was palliative and we constantly needed to tell them. Nursing homes should not promise palliative care and then not provide it. We thought we were doing the right thing by him placing him in an expensive nursing home but he should have been kept in hospital. I would recommend this facility, but it is not suitable for patients with high care needs.

After 1 month of entering the facility my mother had emergency glaucoma surgery. I assumed she would be administered the 2 types of eyedroos hourly, plys eye ointment. After a week i discovered they were coming whenever they had time! She is blind in 1 eye and they were not caring for her good eye. When i complained they said they had other residents to look after! The facilty dr 6 weeks later said they could possibly handle 4hrly drops. So for 2 months i stayed with my mother to administer the drops...from 8am to 10pm. Then i made a timetable for her to self administer. 15 months on,they administer the 8am and 8pm drops. I complaibed but to no avail. After the facility's accreditation April '18 the manager has been replaced and hopefully his wont happen again. Heaven help residents that dont have family to speak for them.

Lovely, cosy setting with very friendly staff. Friendly smiles from staff and residents nake me feel happy when I visit. Residents seem to have fun and are usually busy doing activities in the community room. Outings to shopping centres and other excursions are also offered. Very happy that I found a neighbourly place for my elderly grandmother here. And she's very happy to be here too.

From the moment we walked into the facility we were impressed. Nice light environment. Staff members walking around the corridors stopping to chat with the residents. Really had a very social feeling. The facilities were immaculate. My grandmother felt at home the moment she walked through the doors. 12 months on and she still loves it. A very happy and social place with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for the residents
