The quality of care that my grandmother received from the nurses at warrina was exceptional given the conditions they work under. The place is ruled by money making short cuts leaving patients in pain and suffering. There is no constant medical assistance for the nurses, the nurse practitioner is horrendous and medication required for end of life care is unavailable. Warrina is such a lovely environment and feels so homely as soon as you walk in the front door. The staff overall are lovely and are so helpful. There are a lot of activities for residents to be involved with including bus trips which are well enjoyed.

No matter how hard they try they cannot care for your loved one like you can. Many of the carers speak poor english. Most residents only soeak enhlish and are quite deaf and this causes so many difficulties.

Sometimes the doctors who attend 'care much for the individuals needs and just prescribe more pills without checking what the effect of the combinations of pills may have on the aged person. other than that the nursing / hostel staff are terrific, the activities and getting the residents involved is great. could do with more regular exercise for those that are capable.

I work here as a Pastoral Career and it is one the best places to be. Staff and the facility and care that we provide I believe is outstanding. I would put my mum and dad in here. Even have said to my husband that I would be happy for us to be put in care here.
