Review Assisi Centre Aged Care

Assisi Centre always grabs your attention as you drive in, the building and complex is just beautiful and full of history. Every time my wife and I come to visit our aunty, which isn't that often sadly due to both our work commitments and the kids extra activities, we are always greeted with smiles at St Fancis, the dayshift during the weekdays seem like a great bunch of workers who really do work as a team, and assist everyone as much as they can. My aunty is extremely fond of the shift supervisor, who she calls her "little bella" and my wife and I have witnessed for ourselves the compassion, genuine care and professionalism she has. Don't mean to sound negative in anyway but she is a very small person and who knows exactly how to inspire her team and demands only the best from them when it comes to the care off her residents, not to mention she does an awesome cup of coffee. We would highly recommend Assisi to anyone looking for nothing but the best for their loved ones.

My Mother went into Assisi a few months ago and she has taken a while to settle in. On the whole the staff are very caring. Staff are made up of carers, nurses and nuns. Mass is on two days a week and the Rosary is held once a day. Mum likes it there now and seems happy enough. There have been some changes with the menu and they are working hard to improve it. The staff are very attentive and are very welcoming. The head nurse phones if there is any incident of any kind regarding my mother or if there is any change of medication. I only wish they had more hands on activities for residents, there seems to be a lot of sitting around for residents. Mum enjoys the tombola (bingo) and the outings (once every two weeks) I are reasonably happy with the quality of care provided by Assisi.
