Review Chomley House

Staff were to busy to spend time with residents unless something was really needed, as a family member I had to point out the fact that my nan was very thirsty and I thought she had a urinary tract infection. I was correct and had to sit giving her sips of water for a couple of days as the staff didn’t have time . She went down hill from there, writhing two weeks she was gone. I don’t blame the staff as she was very elderly, however if they weren’t so busy and were taught to recognize these issues their might be a better quality of life or what life they have left. Maybe people who make the decision on patient to staff ratio and education should think about what it might be like for them when it’s there turn to live in an aged care facility.
