Sales lady is great, sucked us in, but didn't deliver on any promises. Nurses could not perform simple tasks or procedures - don't know how some of them even received a qualification. Under staffed carers - residents waiting a very long time for assistance, and yet that's why they're there - to be helped. Food is not fresh - all horrible frozen meals. It was an absolute joke. We raised so many issues with the Facilities Manager and Clinical Care Coordinators, and every single thing was fobbed off or brushed under the carpet, until we complained to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. We were lead to believe by Craigcare Pascoe Vale that all of our concerns were 'new to them / never had these problems before' - however after speaking to other families with loved ones there, we found out that they too all had similar problems with the staff at Craigcare Pascoe Vale and they too were being fobbed off. We even complained to the Regional Manager, who we found out worked 10 minutes away in Moonee Ponds - and he couldn't even be bothered to come visit and speak to us!! Very, very poor quality of care. Would never recommend this facility.

Unfortunately before putting my mother in Craig Care Moonee Ponds we were promised so many things to ensure we sign on the dotted line....... however those promises were not and could not be matched. They are completely under staffed, and given my mother could not walk or do anything for herself she had to reply on the staff like many of the residents. However it could take up to an hour before staff would even answer her bell/buzzer and they do not have a particular section for residents that need extra staff for extra care, therefore it would take fare too long for residents to even get any assistance. At Crag Care, unfortunately residents with Alzheimer's are in with all the others which mean most time other residents don't get peace and quite because of the constant noise from these residents. I know for my mother who was right next door to a Alzheimer's resident who would yell at all hours of the day, she was not able to rest and would never have a full nights sleep. I tried to my mother moved on more that 5 occasion's, however it was all about the money and not the level of care. I would not recommend this home at all and they are not able to accommodate residents individual needs, and they only care about the amount of money they are make. Very Sad place.

This nursing home that my mother is in is specifically for Dementia patients. The accommodation is well equipped for all clients needing care. It is clean and tidy and maintained extremely well. The nursing staff are friendly and professionally trained in geriatric cliental. I truely believe my mum is well looked after by very caring people. I recommend this nursing home to anyone who is looking for accommodation for a loved one.

My father had high physical needs and was placed in a section of high need dementia patients. He was very distressed and frightened by this and I believe lost the will to live. He needed much more mental stimulation and to be with others like himself. This may be difficult to organise but we need more awareness of protecting people from depression and fear. Otherwise I couldn't fault this facility.
