Need RN or EN in each house 24 hours especially when patients with complex needs are admitted. Staff need better education in emergency care eg. suction when patients aspirate. A dedicated medical officer that can attend within 1-2 hours.Totally unsatisfactory having to wait 3hours even before a locum could be called.

My mum was in Edenfield and she was always treated with dignity and respect. The staff were so lovely that we all felt part of the home. The food was also excellent and we all used to stop in for lunch when we visited mum..

Been there a few times visiting friends, some of the nurses are a bit loose especially on the night shift I wouldnt want any of my family being cared for by at least one nurse that works there.

MY mum needed emergency respite from hospital near me ( her only child). The facility ( EDENFIELD FAMILY CARE) held the bed for 1day beyond what they needed to to accommodate mum's discharge date from hospital so she could be near me . Mum was upset to not go home and need permanent care The staff were so nice to us both. I still remember their hugs and kisses to both of us .I visited mum whenever she rang me and always got a lovely welcome from the staff day and night as I do shift work. I would bring mum to my house and when she returned her heater or cooler depending on the weather would be turned on so her room was just the temperature she liked. Her curtains would be drawn and her bed turned back with her nightgown draped elegantly across her bed ( just the way she would do it) . Mum passed away recently . She had a beautiful poinsettia plant she nurtured( she had brought it with her from her house ) and she wanted it to be left at the facility on her passing . It is blooming . I still visit as they will always be a part of mum and my family . Writing this does not do justice to the love and care we experience. Thankyou to all at Edenfield mum and I had many laughs, tears and definitely fun whilst she was living with you .xx
