My Sister in law went to Edenfield for respite due to a broken ankle. Respite was an extended stay due to medical appointments. All staff were exceptionably helpful and courteous.
A special mention to Cee Kay, Jessamine and Rita. for their help to all family members. My sister in-law enjoyed her stay, but she would have been better suited roomed with others with alike communication skills, this was offered but she liked the room she was in so much and didn't want to move.

Need RN or EN in each house 24 hours especially when patients with complex needs are admitted.
Staff need better education in emergency care eg. suction when patients aspirate.
A dedicated medical officer that can attend within 1-2 hours.Totally unsatisfactory having to wait 3hours even before a locum could be called.

My mum was in Edenfield and she was always treated with dignity and respect. The staff were so lovely that we all felt part of the home. The food was also excellent and we all used to stop in for lunch when we visited mum..
