About Eldercare The Lodge

The Lodge is conveniently located on King William Road at Wayville and combines the elegance of heritage architecture with new and refurbished accommodation wings complemented by attractive courtyards and extensive gardens.Eldercare’s $15.2 million redevelopment of The Lodge commenced in March 2015 and was completed at the end of November 2016.The Lodge offers residents superior facilities in a premium location and all resident rooms and common areas are either brand new or recently refurbished.The Lodge’s comprehensive Lifestyle Program is run by a dedicated team and includes, but is not limited to, various activity and interest groups, shopping trips and excursions. Some of the lifestyle options at The Lodge include pet therapy, outdoor walks, flower arranging and a coffee club as well as a men’s group and gardening group. Shopping trips are also held once a week and excursions to varying destinations occur twice a month.

Today, it houses the main reception area as well as communal living and dining areas. The well-maintained grounds of the facility feature multiple rose gardens, a historic water fountain and garden beds filled with seasonal flowers. The Lodge also has a family room with private bathroom to allow family members and friends to temporarily stay with their loved one overnight.

Room Description
The rooms were built in 1999. Their design is sympathetic to the historic central house and each has their own modern ensuite bathroom. The room has a view of a courtyard and tree-lined street.
Common Areas Description
The facility is in a prime residential location and has three dining areas which are of varying sizes. Each dining room is tastefully decorated and consists of a pantry and serving area. There are five common lounge areas as well as 15 rest spaces throughout the facility. Each lounge area has a kitchenette that residents and relatives can access. There are also entertainment units, sound systems and modern furniture designed to accommodate people with some mobility difficulties. The facility has five common areas that can be booked for private use such as birthday parties or family meetings. These spaces are also used for group activities and functions. These rooms contain tables and chairs that can be reconfigured depending on the use of the room. The grounds of the facility are well cared for and landscaped consisting of multiple rose gardens, an historic water fountain and garden beds filled with seasonal flowers and a range of plants to maximise residents' enjoyment.
