Staff can assist resident to keep in touch with their relatives and friends via Skype using a 'Broadband for Seniors' kiosk on site. The kiosk features two computers, one of which has a touch screen, enabling residents to access the internet. The facility has well maintained gardens and the majority of the rooms have garden views. Residents and families are able to access the gardens via pathways. There is an outdoor pergola area with gas BBQ facilities and an outdoor setting. Families are able to utilise these facilities when visiting. Residents are able to participate in gardening activities with the support of qualified lifestyle staff. All rooms feature a bay window, private ensuites and built in wardrobes. Residents are encouraged to personalise their space with soft furnishings, photographs, mementos and small furniture items. Television connections are available and phone connection can be arranged. All residents' beds are electric and height adjustable. Each bedside area, bathroom and lounge area has access to the nurse call bell should staff assistance be required. A dementia specific area has an enclosed garden area and all external doors are fitted with electronic key pads.
