Families are able to keep in touch with their relatives and friends through access to a 'Broadband for Seniors' kiosk. Families are also able to use Skype to contact their family when distance is a factor. Alternatively, portable phones designed for use by the elderly, with hearing aid loops and speaker phone for residents that are unable to hold a phone are available.Residents and families are able to access the well maintained gardens via pathways which have water features along the way. There are pergolas and gas BBQ facilities. Families are able to participate in gardening activities with the lifestyle staff when visiting residents. Each room has access to TV and phone connections. All rooms feature built in wardrobes with private ensuites in the single rooms. Double rooms have a shared ensuite. Residents are encouraged to personalise their space with soft furnishings, photographs, mementos and small furniture items.All residents’ beds are electric and height adjustable. Each bedside area, bathroom and lounge area has access to the nurse call bell should staff assistance be required. External doors are fitted with electronic key pads.
