My mother has been a resident of Guildford Aged Care for over a year now and is very happy there. I have viewed many facilities for dementia patients before deciding on St Jude's. I noticed viewing other facilities that the dementia patients are segregated from the other residents, where at St Jude's they are not. The residents are able to roam the beautifully maintained gardens and socialize with the other residents within the secured facility all the while listening to music from the speakers outside. It is a wonderful happy atmosphere which my mother thrives on. Guildford Aged Care provide a loving and caring environment, my family and I couldn't be happier and relieved that our mother is well looked after and is happy and loves the friendly and efficient staff as do we, it gives us peace of mind knowing she is in great care. My mother has dementia and can be difficult sometimes, but I have always seen the staff at the home be patient when dealing with the residents. There are daily activities within the home and the residents are encouraged but not forced to participate, I have seen this for myself and it does give me peace of mind knowing my mother is not forced to do anything she doesn't want to do. I can't speak highly enough about the staff and the personal care they provide for the residents, the lifestyle and well being provided are of the highest standard, and we are very grateful to have my mother reside there, as is she.
