My brother is in age care as he is interlectually disabled. He is 72 and is physically able so his needs are a bit different to the average aged person. The facility he is in go out of their way to see that his needs are met. He spends time with family but he's always happy to go "home".

Food very poor, general care poor.
Facility reply:
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback - it seems we haven't met your expectations. In regards to your comment about the food, we know that food is a very personal issue for people, and we work very hard to ensure that all tastes and nutritional requirements are catered for. We invite feedback from residents about the food and constantly review menu choices to ensure maximum meal enjoyment. We are also very proud of our high standard of care, and would be very interested in hearing more about your experiences with Kapara to understand fully what prompted your low rating You are very welcome to send details to us via our contact page at http://www.ach.org.au/about-ach-group/contact-us
I hope you will allow us the opportunity to respond to your concerns as we are always seeking to ensure the highest standards are adhered to.
Kind regards,
ACH Group

Staffing and very average food would be main issues. Staff are often unable to attend, or late to respond, when needed for toiletting... causing accidents and embarrassment
However they try hard to please everyone...often with limited resources.

Sometimes the staff are a bit too busy to meet all their obligations. It would probably be a good idea to have casual staff on during busy times eg: getting residents showered, dressed, shaved etc
