This facility is operated as the residents home and staff administer their duties as guests in their home it is a truly wonderful place to work.

This single room with ensuite is furnished with bedside drawers and built-in wardrobes. A recliner and dining chair are located in the vinyl-floored living areas with full-length curtains while the ensuite is fully-tiled. The shared balcony overlooks the garden and courtyard with views over Rockhampton to Mount Archer.

McAuley Place is located in an historic convent that has been tastefully remodelled. The open plan main dining room and common area is a large high-ceilinged space with natural lighting from the large western-facing windows. Modern bain maries enable residents to view the food and smell the appetising aromas before it is served while the timber dining settings complement the woodwork throughout the interior of the building. The common lounge areas are conveniently located for residents access. Each lounge features vintage home-like furniture to suit the feel of the building and maintain a comfortable environment. An internet kiosk was recently installed which is accessible to all residents. The gardens and courtyards are beautifully maintained and professionally landscaped with park benches where residents can sit and enjoy the magnificent views over the city of Rockhampton.
