The facilities at Como include Meath Care Como, an aged care facility, a day centre and a retirement village.Meath Care Como is a 65 bed aged care facility. The facility offers low residential care and secure accommodation for residents with dementia. There are also 2 rooms available for respite care (short term stays).The facility provides supported living in a secure, caring environment and has the following features:-Each resident has a spacious single room with ensuite and television-Telephone access is available and, Foxtel can be arranged, subject to availability-Dietary needs catered for and all meals cooked on site-Access to a registered nurse 24 hours a day-Nurse call system and staff available 24 hours a day to provide assistance with activities of daily living-Access to medical practitioners

Room Description
The conditions of the rooms at Michael Lee Centre are of excellent quality. Each individual room has hard flooring and hosts a number of features. The rooms are spacious and come partially furnished with the following items: a hospital bed and mattress, a bedside cabinet, built in wardrobes with hanging space, multiple storage compartments and a lockable cupboard. Each room has a TV bracket to enable you to provide your TV of choice. Residents can be issued a key upon request to lock the room so privacy can be maintained. Each room has reverse cycle air conditioning and good quality window treatments. All rooms have a private ensuite, which are a generous size with non slip tiles and hand rails around the shower area and beside the toilet. Each ensuite has a wall cabinet and mirror above the hand basin, a laundry basket (if required) and heat lamps for winter. Each bedroom has Emergency Nurse Call buttons with extension cord for convenience. Private ensuites are also equipped with emergency call points (in the shower area as well as an emergency call button on the hand rail next to the toilet). All rooms have wide entries to allow access for specialised equipment as required for residents who may be assessed as needing it. To promote a home like atmosphere, residents are able to liaise with management to add furnishings of their choice.
Common Areas Description
Built over 2 levels, the centre is divided into 8 small houses. The individual houses have a front door, lounge/dining room, activity area and private family room. Each house is attractively furnished throughout to create a home-like atmosphere with a dining room, lounge area and seating nooks where residents can meet with family and friends. The lounge areas have numerous lounge chairs and a large flat screen Smart TV for residents who wish to meet and mix with other residents or just relax. There is also a beautifully furnished ‘quiet room’ equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, which is available for residents and families who would prefer privacy, for a chat or to play a quiet game of scrabble, cards etc. The manicured gardens, secure outdoor settings and communal areas provide spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. The centre boasts a café area fitted with coffee and vending machines, enabling residents, family and friends to socialise. A hairdressing salon and beautician room is available. Meath Care have engaged Cater Care, an external specialist catering company to provide all catering services. All meals are cooked on site by a dedicated team of catering professionals. Food forums are held seasonally by the catering team where residents and families are encouraged to participate in the development of seasonal menus. A buffet-style breakfast is offered, lunch is the main meal with a choice of two hot options. Dinner comprises of home-made soup and a lighter hot or cold choice. Morning, afternoon tea and supper are served in the communal areas which provide an opportunity for residents to socialise. Residents are welcome to invite guests to join them for a meal at a reasonable cost.
