This is an independent review by a family member provided because it’s difficult to work out what’s best. Mercy Place Colac provides just above basic level care at an affordable price. The staff are caring but very stretched due to understaffing because of available resources. The food is a bit above average and effort is required by family to meet additional expectations. The facilities are clean and well maintained. It’s not fancy- but it’s ok and will meet above basic needs.

Care in the open wards and secure wards is very good.I was a bit less happy with the care in the "hospital " area, never enough staff, and those who were there were always very busy. I would also like to see much more staff training in every facility. Personal care attendants training is not enough in my view. Staff need a reasonable amount of training to ensure they understand what they are doing and how it impacts on their patients. There need...

We have our Mum Doreen in Mercy Aged Care Colac.3250 for the past 3 years.. We love having our 91yr old Mum in Care. She is so well looked after. The staff are very kind and loving to our Mum. The facility is very clean.the food choice and quality is amazing.There is always entertainment for the residents. We give this facility a 10 out of 10.
