In East Melbourne Our experience with aged care, saw a multitude of issues. .Mother overdosed .bruised .unable to call anyone if distressed ( no button) Poorly fed . Bank funds accessed without consent . Thrown out into St Vincent's . I found numerous patients on the floor . Poor access to doctors . Misdiagnosis At Mornington . A VECAT hearing called at the home to stop mother going home.( She spent the next 4 years at home successfully.) . All assistance denighed ie council help, district nurse etc This was a very difficult time for my family and myself.

Some problems with standards but kindness and compassion far outweigh the problems which no doubt are common in this area
