I think that not enough staff available in these facilities, Facility needs to inform family when there loved ones are not well and if loved ones have a fall as soon as possible, I believe that doctors should be on the premises 24/7.

Problems with providing residents with the required medication due to problems with staff ordering necessary supplies shows a lack of care for residents. My mother gets reprimanded for asking for pads, a pretty basic need for aged care residents. Infrequent doctor visits and problems with booking for dentist make the place a poorly run facility. Some staff are lovely and caring, others are not. Very disappointed with the place. Communication links between management and staff are woeful.

The biggest complains are related to their meals.
Meals are ordinary, bland and uninteresting.

My relative was an inpatient in this unit over a year ago now. In my opinion at that time, as the high care dementia unit was not built for this purpose, there were shortfalls in a capacity to provide safe and adequate care for patients. Although also in my opinion, it would not be cost prohibitive for some cosmetic and administrative changes to be made to address patient safety issues. I frequently observed male patients roaming the corridors
