Room Description
All bedrooms are single, carpeted and have an ensuite. Each resident is provided with a set of keys to enable them to lock the bedroom door, window and security drawer in the wardrobe. All rooms have a full length wardrobe with storage and hanging space, 2 wire sliding baskets for clothing and a valuables drawer. Rooms are equipped with a wall heater, ceiling fan and telephone and aerial points. Call bells are located in both the bedroom and ensuite to page for staff assistance and in emergency situations. Residents are encouraged to furnish their room with suitable furniture and sentimental objects of their choice. They may utilise the picture rail in their bedroom to display photos, craft and art work.
Common Areas Description
The facility is comprised of 3 sections (houses), each with 10 single rooms, and a centrally heated / cooled communal kitchen, dining room and lounge area with comfortable chairs, a TV and DVD. Call bells are situated in convenient locations and a telephone is available for residents to accept calls. The facility is surrounded by gardens and residents are welcome to add personal touches such as small plants, pots and statues to personalise the immediate area viewed from their bedroom window.
