Mother-in-law was in care here for 8 weeks before she passed away, they were very caring staff

A friendly environment that is clean and safe, staff are very supportive.Residents are well provided for with on going activities to keep them stimulated through out the day.

About Noel Miller Centre

Noel Miller Centre, situated in the leafy suburb of Glen Iris, is one of Melbourne’s most stylish residential facilities. It was constructed in 2003 and occupies an entire street block with views of adjacent parkland. The centre is walking distance to bustling High Street with shops and cafes easily accessible by foot and by tram.Noel Miller Centre offers single-room accommodation to 138 residents with en suite bathroom facilities and telephone and television connections. Each room is tastefully furnished and overlooks landscaped courtyards. Each courtyard is accessible by foot or wheelchair, and has automatic doorway entrances. There are two large internal courtyards with gardens, including an aviary with native Australian parrots and an extensive rose garden.

Room Description

The Noel Miller Centre is designed across two floors and each room offers en-suite bathroom facilities.
Each room has one highlow bed one beside table one over-bed table one bedside lamp and 1 chair. Residents can bring their own furniture as required with the exception of beds. Installation of personal fittings is carried out by mecwacares Maintenance Officer. Each room has generous storage space including built-in wardrobes. One cupboard and one bedside table drawer are lockable with the main room entrance key ensuring safety of personal possessions. Personal safes can be also arranged for each resident.
All rooms have telephone and free-to-air television connections and provision for Foxtel if required by the resident. Each room includes tasteful modern furnishings and overlooks landscaped courtyards some with further views from the first floor. All rooms have private en-suites that are fully accessible including absence of trip hazards on floor built-in handrails on each toilet and handrails throughout the en-suite bathroom. All rooms en-suites and public areas have Nurse Call buttons.

Dining Rooms are divided into areas for residents who require assistance at meals and those who do not require assistance. The four large Dining Rooms 90m2 av. are open-plan and accessible with numerous dining tables and individual chairs providing improved access to seating of choice for each resident. The private Dining Room 27m2 with kitchen offers immediate access to an external courtyard and overlooks a rose garden. It includes a dining table that comfortably seats eight people and a self-contained kitchen including crockery and cutlery refrigerator dishwasher microwave sink large preparation area and generous storage space. Framed artwork and decorative pieces on a wooden sideboard enhance the dining experience.
There are two large lounge rooms 70m2 av. two intimate Lounge Room and MusicTelevision Rooms 21m2 av. and a number of reading and leisure spaces of various sizes. For example Parlour Room 45m2 Lounge Room 30m2 Reading Room 27m2 Sophia Room 70m2 Library 13m2 games and Billiards Room 22m2. There are also a variety of informal sitting rooms.
