Room Description

The design function of this accommodation is unit is to support people living with dementia. Key features are all resident rooms access directly into common areas with high ceiling voids and ample natural light. The resident rooms are maintained and presented at a high standard with wall colours and window treatments in neutral tones.
All rooms have a nurse call system at the bed side and in the en-suite a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioner for individualized temperature control.
A high low electronic bed with a pressure relieving mattress bedside cabinet and over bed table are provided.
The built in robes have ample hanging and storage to accommodate personal clothing and belongings.
All resident rooms have monitored fire suppression and detection systems.

Common Areas Description

The design function of this accommodation is unit is to support people living with dementia. Key features are an open plan with separate dining meal and activities area to support a dining and social experience. A lounge furnished with a large flat screen television single seat arm chairs and access to a selection of reading materials music and DVDs.
There is a quiet room furnished with a TV lounge and dining table for quiet reflection or small family gatherings.
The secure enclosed landscaped courtyard with pathways and seating to enable residents to safely enjoy the outdoor area.
Residents can access via the main house area the Broad Band for seniors with SKYPE function to assist residents to stay in touch with family and friends.
All common areas have monitored fire suppression and detection systems.
