Totally unimpressed with the level of care my husband received. Terrible food and substandard medical care. Went in one day and my husband was totally unresponsive and noone did anything about it. I insisted on an ambulance being called. he subsequently passed away with sepsis which noone picked up.

Both of my parents have experienced Aged Care. My father was in a different building than my mother. They are constantly short staffed, the staff DO NOT know their patients and the residents are not treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. Allawarra (within Inala) is a caring and cheerful place for our family member. She seems to feel safe and cared for and the location is close to members of the family. The gardens are very pleasant. We would have loved her to be allowed to have her little dog live with her there.
