Staff need to be trained better on people entering the building without authority after a drug affected male broke into the aged care centre through a residents bedroom window while the resident was in bed. To make things worse the family of the resident who had this drug affected person in her room where not notified by staff. They found out about it after the resident told a family member the next day when she was visited.

The smell in the hallways of the Chelsea Ward in the Transitional Care is putrid it smelled like urine and other disgusting smells. They need to deodorise the carpets and spray some air fresher around. constantly. I feel sorry for the residents that are staying there and have to put up with the smell it made me feel sick.

Mum loves the facility and the staff. They also love mum and she looks well and is dressed well. The meals leave a lot to be desired but they are edible. Mum does not participate in lifestyle apart from concerts and the odd outing. The PCA s are wonderful but some of the Div 1 nurses are unapproachable. The managers door is always open. Mum tell everyone that there is nothing to fear. Mum says she fells safe and it is good to have company around her. My experience has been positive although there is alway room for better communication.

No one plans to end their life in aged care. We have nothing but praise and appreciation of the care of staff and facilities which our late father experienced for nearly 7 years.

I think the residents should have a say in what foods they would like for meals. I know a lot aren't happy with their meals

I think the residents need to be more involved in choosing their meals . I know a lot don't like what they are having for most meals. Most of the staff their are wonderful.
