A very welcoming and homely atmosphere is noticeable. Staff are friendly and engaging. my family is happy all round with the facility.

Although it is not where I want my father to be the fact that he has vascular dementia means I couldn't possibly give him the 24/7 care he needs. He is treated with respect and dignity and there is sufficient involvement of the families to ensure this to be the case. If there is any kind of incident they call and let me know and I get a sense that the staff really know the people for whom they care.

My Mother is in the Dementia Unit at Concord Community Hostel. Every time I go to see her she is clean, dressed well and happy. Her meals are good and the nurses make sure that she eats. They know her well and always tells us her every little idiosyncrasy. The nurses are always very friendly and speak to Mum very endearingly. They will answer our questions about any concerns we have.
