The bathroom has line of sight from the bed to encourage use of the toilet. Reducing confusion is a key design objective. High-end joinery is visually calming, reducing over stimulation. Other meaningful cues such as the new welcoming and easily recognisable entrance for residents to delineate the front entrance. Just like home, families will go through the front door to visit their relatives, not a long corridor. Technology improvements such as upgrades to the emergency nurse call system and resident pendants open access to the outside world.
