The staff and management do their best. Sometimes there is no phone for residents. If they don't have a cell phone then you can't talk to them. Hard for out of town family.

Residents are in care for a reason but they still have the rest of their life to LIVE, activities should be catered for all residents not just the more able. I feel a lot of residents (especially if they have dementia) suffer not so much from their disease as they do from loneliness and boredom. Staff that work in Aged Care should be paid more which hopefully would attract more skilled employees especially in remote areas. I wish the government would do away with all the paperwork and let staff concentrate on their residents.
