My 90 year old mum broke her ankle living on her own. After a week in hospital we put mum in respite at an aged care facility in Endeavour Hills, initially for 6 weeks but this extended to 9 weeks with in house rehab. The staff and physios have been outstanding in their care and management of mums injury and ongoing exercise program to get her up and walking again. Mum realizes she can not live on her own anymore and is going to stay permanent...

My 90 year old mum went into Viewhills Manor for respite after breaking her ankle. After 9 weeks mum has realised she cannot go home to live on her own. The staff and physios have been so patient and accommodating in mums progress. Mum has made friends and enjoys the social interaction with others. From the mind games to the entertainers that visit to perform for the residents, all helps to make a difficult decision easier knowing it is best ...

wait time for attendance too long. Some staff are exceptional others are terrible, never seems to be enough staff to meet care needs. Menu looks great but food is boring, bland and lacks taste. Noted lots of frozen veges are served as opposed to fresh. Mums main concern is food and I need to top her up with things from home. Lifestyle programme is good but doesn't suit everyone. Facility is clean but some areas are shabby and the windows outside could do with a wash.

My father-in-law was in Aged Care and I was impressed with the quality of the service. All staff went out of their way to care for the patients and help family members. We got to know some of them quite well. They arranged a lot of activities for the residents to keep them entertained, etc. The overall quality was excellent. Very friendly and caring. If I have to go to an aged care facility in the future I would hopefully go to one like this.
